What is Lupus?
Lupus is a long-term auto-immune disease which affects over 1.5 million Americans. While the cause is unknown, the bodies immune system begins to attack its own healthy cells and tissues by mistake, potentially inflicting damage on itself. There is no cure for Lupus. Lupus can be treated and stabilized with drugs and other treatments, but it a chronic disease. The symptoms of Lupus can come and go.Lupus is most commonly diagnosed in young women, around the child bearing ages. Lupus is two to three times more prevalent in women of color. It is not contagious or sexually transmitted, and it is not a form of cancer.

The most common symptoms of lupus include:· Achy joints· Prolonged extreme fatigue· Hair Loss· Fever· Skin, Kidney, and Joint Problems
How are people impacted by Lupus?
Along with flare ups of pain and inflammation, being diagnosed with Lupus comes with new challenges and lifestyle changes. Some people experience emotional changes or problems ignited by their diagnosis. There is often a large financial burden that comes along with covering health care and medication, as well as lost productivity at work or in the home life.
How does CBD play a role in Lupus?
